Privacy Policy

Klip is built around a simple promise: your clipboard is yours. We run no backend and we never receive, store, or see the things you copy. This policy explains exactly what that means.

What we collect

Nothing on our servers — because we don't run any. Klip has no Klip account, no Klip login, and no Klip-operated database. The app works entirely on your devices and through a cloud folder that you choose and control.

Your clips and where they live

Everything you copy is stored locally on your device. If you turn on sync, Klip writes those items as ordinary files into a folder inside a cloud service you already use (such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox). Those files travel only between your devices through that provider. They never pass through any server operated by us.

Your cloud provider

When you enable sync, your chosen cloud provider handles the transfer and storage of those files under their own terms and privacy policy. Klip cannot read your account there beyond the single folder you point it at. You can stop syncing or delete that folder at any time.

Encryption

Klip supports optional end-to-end encryption. When enabled, your items are encrypted on your device with a key that only you hold, so even your cloud provider cannot read them. We never receive that key.

Analytics and tracking

Klip contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no cross-app tracking. We do not build profiles of you and we do not sell or share personal data. Any diagnostics, where offered by the platform, are aggregate and optional, and never include the contents of your clips.

This website (klip.iomobilelab.com) optionally uses Google Analytics to understand visits — but only if you accept the cookie banner. It is anonymous, never includes anything you copy, and is entirely separate from the app, which remains tracking-free.

Payments

If you subscribe to Klip Pro, the purchase is processed by the platform's store (Apple App Store or Google Play) or our payment processor. We receive only the information needed to activate your subscription — never your full card details.

Data retention

Because your data lives on your devices and in your own cloud, you control retention. Deleting items in the app, or removing the sync folder, removes them. Uninstalling Klip removes the app's local data from that device.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal data about you on our servers, there is nothing on our side to export or erase. You retain full control of your data on your devices and in your cloud at all times. Where laws such as GDPR or CCPA apply, you may still contact us with any question.

Children

Klip is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the date above and post the new version on this page.
